ISO Image Creator reads a CD, DVD, or Blu-ray disc and produces a byte-perfect ISO image that captures the volume structure, file system, and boot record exactly as they exist on the original. The resulting file can be stored on any modern medium, burned back to new disc media, or mounted as a virtual drive without physical hardware. Error handling during the read process flags problematic sectors explicitly rather than silently producing a corrupt image.

Custom ISO Compilation from Files

Beyond archiving existing discs, the app allows building an ISO from scratch by selecting any combination of files and folders from the local filesystem. The running total of selected content is displayed in real time so you can stay within the size limits appropriate for the target media — 700 MB for CD, 4.7 GB for single-layer DVD. Folder hierarchy is preserved exactly as it appears on the source system, maintaining any directory structure that an installer or application may depend on.

A step-by-step workflow guides users through source selection, output path configuration, and creation initiation without requiring knowledge of ISO standards or disc formats. Progress is shown during both the disc read and image write phases with an estimated time remaining, making it easy to judge whether to wait or step away. For users who only need to image a disc occasionally, the interface is usable on first launch without consulting documentation.
